WHAT IS GOING TO BE RESOLVED IN THE 24TH?

In his speech, the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, calls for reflection on the future of the transformation he has carried out in his government and the options presented in the upcoming elections.

"Enough with the simulations.
If you ask me, what to do?
There is nothing but the democratic method.
Let the people choose!
So that the authority, be it a deputy, be it a senator, be it a minister, be it the president of Mexico, only has the people of Mexico as its master.
Not to interest groups!
Because, if the president is elected by the oligarchs, he will be a puppet, a puppet of the powerful.
And he will never look at the people.
That is why one of the most important things we are carrying out is the clear separation of economic power from political power.
The government should represent everyone.
But this is very difficult for our conservative adversaries to accept.
Because they do not take the people into account. For them, the people do not exist.
It is an elite, completely divorced from the people.
They have no love for the people.
So democracy is the government of the people, for the people, with the people.
That is why, when voting, "Let's see: What about a pension for the elderly?"
Imagine the PAN deputies voting against pensions.
When it was decided to support young people. They only called them NINIS, who neither studied nor worked.
And they began to hand out scholarships, or gave them jobs as apprentices to young people.
There was a campaign, of young FIFIS, against this policy.
That they were giving scholarships to the NINIS.
Fortunately, things are now different in Mexico, and that helps us a lot.
So, what a conclusion, we have to vote!
You have to vote, you have to vote! Not only for the candidate for president.
You have to vote for the legislators, for the candidates for deputies and senators.
So that the transformation can count on a qualified majority.
What is qualified majority? It is, two thirds, like sixty-six percent of the votes. Sixty-six percent of the votes.
Because you can have a simple majority. Fifty plus one.
But that, it allows passing laws, reforming laws, but not reforming the Constitution.
Why are the conservatives blocking?
Because, even though the legislators of the transformation are in the majority, they do not have a qualified majority.
But they could have a qualified majority. Yes, they are in favor of change.
That is what is going to be resolved in the twenty-fourth!
Do you want transformation, do you want the transformation to continue, or don't you?
That is what is going to be voted on!
Do you want the corrupt to return? You know who you are going to vote for.
Do you want the transformation to continue? Also, you know.
Do you want classism to continue? Do you want to be humiliated? You know who you are going to vote for.
Do you want racism to continue, you know who you are going to vote for.
Do you want discrimination to continue, you know who you are going to vote for.
Do you want the nation's assets to continue to be handed over to private individuals and foreigners? You know who you have to vote for.
Do you want the poor to come first for the good of all? You know for whom you will vote.
Do you want the pensions for senior citizens to continue, you know, who you are going to vote for.
Do you want the court ministers to continue earning five or six hundred thousand pesos a month? You know who you are going to vote for.
It's all very clear! That is why it is so good that all these issues are coming up.
Do you want the media to continue to be manipulated? You know who you are going to vote for.
Do you want there to continue to be millionaire journalists, with residences and apartments abroad? You know who you are going to vote for.
But it is very clear!
Which party? Well, it's up to each one to decide, isn't it?
I mean, but the people, they are going to find out!".

López Obrador stresses the importance of making informed and conscious decisions, in order to continue advancing in the transformation of the country and avoid backsliding in terms of corruption, discrimination and classism. The decision is in the hands of the citizenry and he is confident that people will know how to choose what is best for the future of Mexico.
